Unable to Clone from Git

Post by cloutiy »

Hello,

I am on Arch Linux and trying to get ec installed on my machine. However there seems to be a problem cloning from git:

Code: Select all

git clone git@github.com:ecere/ecere-sdk.git
Cloning into 'ecere-sdk'...
The authenticity of host 'github.com (192.30.253.112)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is SHA256:nThbg6kXUpJWGl7E1IGOCspRomTxdCARLviKw6E5SY8.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added 'github.com,192.30.253.112' (RSA) to the list of known hosts.
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists
.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Hi Cloutiy,

That way to access the repository seems to be limited.
We should probably change that path in the instructions.

If you have a GitHub user account, try instead doing a 'fork' of the repository and then cloning that.

Alternatively you can use the https address:

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/ecere/ecere-sdk.git
Sorry for the trouble.

Best regards,
