Using other UI Libraries

Postby cloutiy » Sat Jul 15, 2017 11:43 am

I would like to know how well eC plays with non-eC gui libraries.

I found a cross platform pure C library that offers native look and feel and would like to know how difficult it would be to use:

https://github.com/andlabs/libui

Has anyone used libui in any eC projects?

Hi Yves,

Although I'd obviously argue there's no GUI library out there as awesome as libecere GUI (and its next iteration), it is a goal to readily support other GUI libraries with other components of the Ecere SDK. There is nothing that would really prevent you from doing so right now anyways, but let me know if you do run into problems!

We want to distribute samples of using various components with e.g. Qt, wxWidgets, and maybe with that one you mention as well.

Regards,
